Citadel of Viareggio: the large oval square surrounded by sheds-workshops of the famous floats, comes alive each summer offering a full calendar of concerts, musicals, dance and cabaret shows of the greatest italian and foreign artists. Many events are also directed to children to satisfy the needs of the many families who choose to spend their holidays in Versilia.

Lucca Summer & Winter Festival: in summer and in winter, in the beautiful setting of Piazza Anfiteatro, which works as a natural amplifier of sound, are held many concerts of italian and international artists. Often foreign musicians choose Lucca as the only italian date of their tour. The other scenic squares of the city and the elegant theaters are involved too in the event offering a wide panorama of shows of music, theater and dance of considerable fame in Italy as abroad.

Puccini Festival: in the warm evenings between late July and August at Torre del Lago is remember the great italian composer Giacomo Puccini. The artist has lived in this town for many years and wrote here some of his most famous masterpieces of opera. The town celebrates him dedicating to him a large festival with events related to opera, music and theater. Some of the most famous works of Puccini are reproduced (Madame Butterfly, Turandot, Tosca) in the magnificent setting of the great open-air theater.

Fair of Sant’Ermete: every August 28 Forte dei Marmi celebrates its patron saint with stalls scattered between downtown and the waterfront, shops open until midnight, cultural events and music. The event concludes with the show of fireworks on the pier.

Even within the many nightclubs, Twiga beach club, La Capannina di Franceschi, La Bussola di Focette, which make Forte dei Marmi unique each night is different from the previous with DJs and international guests.
